Overview
The Vintage Model Co Interceptor is an all new introductory route into the wonderful sport of radio control modelling and flying.
The Interceptor is based on a successful style of simple three-channel model aircraft that have helped train up thousands of new pilots around the world with none of the intimidation of larger more complicated aircraft.
The small size but large wing area and overall low all-up-weight of the aircraft makes it possible to fly in large gardens, parks, football fields and other suitable spaces where larger models can't typically be flown successfully by first-time pilots. Its resilient airframe design is perfect for beginner mistakes; crashes usually result in little to no damage so nearly everyone can learn to fly successfully.
Floaty characteristics mean landings are a breeze and the model simply takes off out of your hand.
This model uses electronics pack B.
Building the Model
This model is one of our foam board designs. It is assembled using simple tools and takes under 60 minutes for the entire kit to be assembled, including installation of the electronics. Hot glue and a few basic techniques are all you need.
Foam board is a fantastic building material for experimenting with aero modelling and really lends itself to customisation and scratch building. Why not try designing your own aircraft using the electronics from this kit?
