Careers

We have the following vacancies for suitable candidates at our workshop near Bakewell:

PRODUCTION MANAGER

As the company is expanding quite quickly, we now need a super organised person to take on the role of production manager.

Initially this will be a very hands on role involving:

Design and modification of CAD files for CO2 laser cutting
Responsibility for production of all kits and laser-cut products
Workload planning
Purchasing of materials

As the company grows, we see the role extending into a more senior management position.

We are very flexible when it comes to working hours, holidays, etc.

If this opportunity is of interest to you, please give us a call on 01629 258240 or email your CV to jobs@vintagemodelcompany.com.

WORKSHOP ASSISTANT

As part of our expansion plans, we now need a workshop assistant.

Initially this will be a very hands on role involving:

Production of kits and products, keeping the laser machines running
Cleaning and maintenance of workshop equipment
Goods-in checking and packing
Stock control duties
Vacuum-forming of kit parts
General duties including keeping the workshop tidy

This role is suitable for an apprenticeship scheme run through a local college but we welcome applications from anyone regardless of age or gender - your attitude and aptitude is more important than education or experience.

We are very flexible when it comes to working hours, holidays, etc.

If this opportunity is of interest to you, please give us a call on 01629 258240 or email your CV to jobs@vintagemodelcompany.com.

MODEL KIT BUILDERS

For this role, you'll be glad to know you do not need to commute to Bakewell!

A quick glance at the product pages on our website will reveal that for a great many of the Heritage range models (Keil Kraft, Veron, FROG, etc. laser-cut replicas), we have very poor images that are not doing justice to the kits themselves.

If you can build models to a very high standard, suitable to be photographed as the definitive example of that kit, we would love to hear from you.

Remuneration for building the models is completely negotiable.

We are looking for models built to a standard demonstrated by this gorgeous build from Martin Stonelake:

Please get in touch by email or telephone if you are at all interested.
