KK PHANTOM The KK Phantom is the most famous classic control line trainer of them all. This is the final, bubble canopy version that appeared in the 1960s, for 1 - 1.5cc (.06 - .09cu.in) diesel and glow-plug motors. Strong and dependable, with all laser-cut precision parts, making the Phantom a very easy model to assemble, getting you flying in as short a time as possible. Phantoms are now used for racing with highly tuned engines, giving the model a totally new lease of life. Attention to the finish will reward the builder with extra speed. YOUR KIT This kit is a laser-cut replica of the original KK Phantom. Construction of the model from this kit uses the traditional method of "stick and tissue", that consists of a built up balsa wood skeleton (framework), covered with a tissue skin. The balsa frameworks are built over a plan that is printed at the exact scale of the model, which is in essence a real engineering drawing. This type of traditional building technique and flying requires a degree of patience and skill, but is extremely rewarding.
